Been telling all of my buddies now for a long time that the ONLY thing that could bring this hopelessly divided nation back together again would be an alien invasion.....the outer space kind.

I bet if Alien fleet appeared in the sky tomorrow and declared "We claim this world for the KlaK-Zarg Empire, we are now your rulers!", the vast majority of people would shrug and say, "Hell couldn't be worse than our own government, they seem to have their act together and have mastered interstellar travel. All Hail our new rulers from the Klak-Zarg Empire!"
