We can’t reason with the guys who are running around with clipboards trying to figure out how to manipulate the Evangelicals as they have tunnel vision and a goal in mind. We can reason with the center-left and blue dogs who voted for candidates in the last election who promised to represent them only to have the hard Left take over the entire national Democrat narrative. The traditional liberals, center left, and centrist blue dogs are being disenfranchised and are probably feeling a bit like the deplorables who drove the victory in 2016. So absolutely, reach out to the Dems being disenfranchised by the national party and emphasize the common ground they have with you.

When was the last time there was civility in the political process? Or has there ever been civility in the political process? Going back to John Quincy Adams if not before?

This reminds me of an old quote going back to Roman times.

“Et tu, Brute?”

“I hope people will understan how far gone she is.”

Democrats do not care, she is their voice.

There is no Constitutional requirement for a “popular” election.

Even without a popular election, the Electors designated by the state would vote, and whoever gets 270 votes is the next president.

If nobody gets 270, the Congress decides, with each state getting one vote.

Whoever wins that then becomes president.

There is a “popular” election in November for state government (a few exceptions) the House and 1/3 the Senate.

My brother-in-law was called a racist today because he had an American flag mask on. Not a Trump mask, no Trump branding on his vehicle. An American flag mask

ok, thanks... counting on a random web map, hillary won 20 states in 2016. therefore if i have it all correctly, it seems less likely that pelosi would become president in 2020.

Civility? What an absurd word choice. It tells me all I need to know about this author.

As they say, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog!”
