As U.S. coronavirus cases surged past 4 million on Thursday, the number of daily covid-19-related deaths surpassed 1,000 for the third consecutive day. More than 500 of the fatalities were recorded in Florida, California and Texas, where the novel coronavirus is spreading at alarming rates. “What we have right now are essentially three New Yorks with these three major states,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx said, a reference to the earlier epicenter of the U.S. outbreak.

I’d like to tell “Dr. Scarf” what to do with her “fashion accessory”! And get another for Dr. Fibbin-Ouchy while she’s at it.

this is what she said or your opinion???

We’ve been hearing from the “experts” for more than a month now- since the number of positive cases in Florida and Texas started to spike- the mortality rate would take off in those states. The numbers say otherwise.

Florida mortality rate on June 24 = 3% Today? 1.3%
Texas mortality rate on June 24 = 1.74% Today? 1.24%

He needs to apologize for tweets to try to pick off a few Karen votes.

I have a black female coworker who told me she thinks “we should give Trump a chance” but said she “doesn’t like his mouth”—meaning his tweets.

I think he said this very strategically today. This week has been the “try to get some Karen votes” week. It’s OK. He needs to do that. He DOES have our votes in the bag.

I have a daughter who works as a nurse at the main hospital in Clearwater Florida. I spoke with her about an hour ago and she tells me the hospital is nowhere near being full of COVID cases, and the demographic currently being hardest hit is men in the 45 to 65 age range.

Rose and Froggie-if you want to see a bit more honesty-probably not total, but better-check out the NON CDC numbers on the HHS charts for the last few days-much more realistic-for instance, in many of the rural counties in Texas, there are few or no active cases now-masks are not and haven’t been worn by most in rural counties...

I will look for the link to that info-but you can probably find it as fast as i can...

I live in one of those counties-we are into the tourist season, with people from all over this state and others in all the tourist traps and other businesses-I live a couple of acres from a property that has 2 riverbank cabins that have been booked solid all week since Memorial Day weekend-even though the public launch is closed, people find a private place to launch their boat on the lake/river-even the only real grocery store has tourists shopping there.

Almost no one was wearing a mask at the grocery store when I was there on Tuesday-their masks were sticking out of their pockets, just like mine was-no one has died out here, and all cases have recovered-no active cases in the days since hospitals started being scrutinized by HHS instead of running directly to the CDC who were apparently lying and inflating numbers here in Texas just as in Florida...

The sky is not falling, we are not shutting down-it is tourist season and we can’t afford to do that anyway...

Oh-here is that link...

The testing was busted here in Texas, too-people not tested because the lines were long, but signed up-later they got a letter saying they were positive...

“Mexicans and Central Americans coming over the border driving the numbers up.”

There are also a lot of American retirees who live south of the border-as well as American citizens who work for American corporations having offices/facilities in Mexico who work at those places for a couple of years then rotate back here to the US-I’m sure those who think they have the Wuhan virus are coming to a US border state to get treatment rather than trust the Mexican healthcare system...

Texas also. Over 500 doctors here signed and sent letters to the WH saying there is no such surge of cases in Texas. Just can’t understand why Pence does not coordinate an investigation in to all the “probably cases” reported in Texas and Florida for people that have not even been tested!!

Good point! Why does the Trump admin. not compare cases and deaths per million population when comparing states and nations? Per cápita there are about 8 nations worse off than the USA. Belgium, I believe is the worst. Italy, UK, France and others have much higher death rates from Covid-19 than the US.
