Never in the news, but If you add up the deaths in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, Zapata, Webb, Maverick, Kinney, ValVerde, El Paso, Etc. and you get almost 1/2 the daily Texas total:

Of Yesterdays 200 deaths, just adding 6 of the counties within 60 miles of the Rio Grand adds up to 90 deaths.

Hidalgo County (McCallen) has 775K population (less than 1/2 the population of Tarrant (Fort Worth), but will have 50% more deaths by next Tuesday (at the current rate).

When patients get transferred to a hospital in another County, there is also a good chance that they will be double counted - reported in each County’s totals, and never de-conflicted.
