As a longtime fan of the Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball, I have to draw the line and say enough is enough. Sports and baseball, in particular, were meant as an escape from the world around us. Including diversity, gay rights, and now black lives matter, I will no longer tune in, turn on or purchase any Atlanta Braves items. I paid over $400 in tickets to the last game of the season against the St. Louis Cardinals, plus I spent over $300 in dinner, drinks, and sports paraganglia that night. Consider the fact that I also went to over a dozen games last year, subscribed to MLB TV and actively listened to the Braves on the radio. Now multiply that times 10s of thousands of fans who feel the same way as I do. I hope that it hits you and every team in the pocketbook.
I work too hard for my money to get punched in the face by an organization that I supported for so many decades. Getting rid of the “Chop” cost the Braves a chance to beat the Cardinals and now you are continuing your losing ways by completely removing it altogether. It may not be an important thing for you, but for fans like me, it most definitely is important.
I pray that none of the Atlanta Braves players kneel during our National Anthem.

It’s not our way, but that is historically and culturally - almost universal - what kneeling and bowing means.
That was my message to the Atlanta Braves. I got a response from them in less than 20 minutes.

Well done.The Braves were my childhood team as they were the only team in the North Fla market and TBS broadcasted their games. I ditched the Royals but I will write them too.
I sent the Braves the ticket I bought for my very first game to see the Braves at Fulton County Stadium. That was in 1989. I also sent them copies of the tickets I purchased for the last game the Braves played against the Cardinals last year.
I have three or four tubs of bobbleheads, caps, t-shirts, etc. They are all going in the attic.
I am not going to promote a team or sport that does respect me as a fan!

After fighting 3 wars in 20 years, I have found that the Atlanta Braves no longer represent my interest or the interest of the country I love.
For the last 20 years, Critical Theory has been an insidious lie taught in our universities— and the Braves organization bought it hook, line, and sinker. Your position isn’t representative of American values. We tend to cling to facts, and the facts are not with BLM (a Marxist organization); nor will they ever be.
I and many more like me have sacrificed way too much to see the advancement of a LIE, and the lack of corporate moral courage to take a stand.
No need to reply, MLB and the Braves are dead to me. My childhood MLB team is now dead to me.
