I have two sisters and numerous nephews and nieces in the Portland area. One of my sisters is imminently sane and in the process of selling her house to move elsewhere far away. The other is a kindly older Liberal who sees things much the same way your sister does. As I travel to that area every couple of months to visit. I have finally come up with the perfect response to her insistence that the rioters are ‘peaceful’. The last time I was in that area, I invited both my sisters to join me for dinner in downtown Portland. Not surprisingly, they both asked if I was becoming senile or was just insane.
