The only real reason I see to wear these masks (in most instances) are because the business says you have to in order to do business in their store. They most likely are not aware of all the pros & cons of such behavior, but are just following a directive. It’s an upper management problem. There are possible exceptions, such as wearing them in a medical facility, but even there is little evidence to bear it out as being very effective. In most cases the mask is just a waste of time, but what it comes down is just following orders from above by those who have little or no real knowledge of the subject.
Yes. I agree. And businesses, for the most part, are afraid of the government pulling their licenses.
