That is part of the point, however.
Lots of people wear masks incorrectly, and that does not even include re-using uncleaned masks, touching and adjusting them constantly, etc.
Also, this is at least a mask. Most people just wear scarfs or bandanas.
Those would certainly do worse than a mask.
On the back of the boxes of masks we buy at the grocery store: Not for use in healthcare settings.
