she was elected because of pandering IMHO
Chicago is approx 40 white, 30% black, and 30% Hispanic.
She(it?)starts in a 14-way primary and collects 17%.
A runoff against Preckwinkle the Cook County Board President and takes ~70%.
Her team is currently setting up a a very inclusive 27-way race for the next election.
