Egypt has 100 million people, with 90% (or more) of them relying on the Nile. They won’t exist anymore if the Nile is cut off...so Ethiopia needs to be very, very, careful.
Good thing Libya's become a problem, then. Egypt's not tried a war in a non-contiguous area since Nasser sent troops to Yemen about 60 years ago.
