I have been hoping that all this discussion of the possibility of “Civil War II” would remain rhetorical and theoretical. It seems less and less so with each passing day, with one political party enlisting some pretty heavy hitters, malefactors of great wealth, that seem determined to force change upon what has been a highly satisfactory system, for no conceivable reason other than a sort of social experiment on a massive scale.

Sometimes these “new ways” turn out to be a reversion to some earlier failed attempt to exercise a “more efficient” command-and-control regime upon humanity, with somehow the “right” balance to make it work THIS time.

What is the definition of insanity, again? Doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different outcome?

“... for no conceivable reason other than a sort of social experiment on a massive scale.”

That’s what is so puzzling. All those people with great wealth supporting the revolution when they KNOW they cannot control it and will ultimately be consumed by it.

All the kneeling and virtue signaling didn’t prevent Amazon and Starbucks from being attacked in Seattle.
