Interesting. I think some combination of that (your phone / payment tied to it) will be part of the walk in, walk right out RFID scenario. Just a guess but a pay by phone? (that pays for all the RFID tags scanned at the door as you walk out).
Perhaps a modified WalMart pay? Dunno.

Walk-in, Walk-out is definitely coming to every major retail chain at some point. This is good for the retailers and the customers and bad for entrepreneurs and small suppliers who have to pay to finance scaling into RFID technology.
