I think there was a member of FR who was actually in the store when this incident actually happened...
The family did file a civil suit against the city... But, DA did not charge LAPD officers...
Wasn’t there a FReeper there when that was going down?
Damn, I should have read your comment first (FR etiquette :p )
... but should have, just like regular CCW holders are held responsible for every shot they fire. If you hit a bystander while defending yourself, you get to go to jail - I see no reason why the cops should be held to any other standard.
Especially after incidents like the ones where police unload dozens or hundreds of rounds into improper targets then don’t even get disciplinary action for poor marksmanship or endangering the public: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Dorner_shootings_and_manhunt#Truck_misidentifications
Yes, Freeper “Bunny Slippers” told us about that frightening experience.
ping
Yes Freeper Bunnyslippers was one of the hostages.
Go to #23 on that link.
And her review of the event.
the police are demonized. Technology will replace the police with remote controled robots. The police will no longer be necessary because the marxist socialists will require us to wear neck collars with 5g and sattellite transpondersthat will track our every move and be able to give us a warning or neutralize us completely from a remote command and control center.
The masks are preparing us for the transition

Ah yes, the Dorner snipe hunt:
Indeed, Animal Farm in action.
Locally, the cops ran around shooting up the place after a suspect that had never fired at them (was unarmed). The never touched him, miracle they did not hot a bystander during their target practice.
yes....me. I was a hostage at TRADER JOES. I sat for hours right next to him this millions of police outside.
I was there til 1 am.

The thing I remember after you cooled down a bit, was something about you not having your keys. ;^D
yes, while I was lying on the floor with the other hostages, my keys around my neck kept jangling. it made him paranoid so remade me bring them up to him.
The LAPD impounded all the cars in nTJ’s parking lot. but by 1 am in the morning I could nit get home. the police finally drove me home.
But I had just bought the home so my license did not show that addressed the locksmith at 1am did nit want to let me in. So I luckily found my closing papers and was able to prove I was the owner.
it was an awful night.
He acted as his own attorney and was convicted.
