Cool! I know Americans of Italian descent whose ancestors landed around the late 1800s and early 1900s (mining jobs in the Midwest). Was married for a decade to one whose family had been in the country for four generations. No hard feelings behind the split. Other hardships got in the way. She was really sweet.
And a couple of aunts by marriage. And a few Jewish women ancestors along the way. Mostly English, Scots...oh, and a couple of Irish women, who turned the family Catholic for a couple of generations.
Point is, eventually, ‘Merica. It takes all kinds. :)

Gov. “Coonman” Northam today said that customers at the state liquor stores will not be admitted if they aren’t wearing masks. Six months ago, I would never have considered walking into a liquor store wearing a mask and gun. It’s kind of fun, now, although weapons are officially banned. Concealed carry means exactly that, though.

POTUS is not saying those who don’t wear masks are unpatriotic. He’s merely defanging the left’s false argument that he’s unpatriotic for not wearing a mask. Sometimes he wears a mask and sometimes he doesn’t - depending on the situation. Wearing a mask once or twice isn’t going to stop the fringe left from still criticizing him on the subject. But it makes their criticisms less effective to moderate, undecided voters who can be swayed by such arguments. They’re the only ones whose opinion on this issue matters, as far as the election is concerned.
Trump isn’t going to lose his base between now and election day over this statement. Neither will it cause him to win over the radical left. Simply put, this statement makes the left’s narrative less effective at swaying those who might otherwise be swayed. Its significance is nothing more than that, and nothing less than that.
I saw a Trump 2020 mask in the local supermarket today, but it was black with red lettering.
These damn puppets are really starting to irk me.
For business purposes I wear a bandana around my neck that I can pull up if necessary and ‘they’ can watch me do it which really puts the focus on how stupid this crap is beoming.

I would have added a couple of words between Stay and away with THE being the first one BUT, like I said it is for business purposes.
At my age and my ‘official scowl’ and Vietnam Vet hat etc I haven’t had ANYONE ask or tell me to put it on. (I do have a legitimate condition (which I normally don’t exploit or even mention to anyone))
And yes, the word concealed is a many splendored thing.
Unless there is a metal detector, you are much ‘safer’ when I am in the area as I am a true believer in the meaning of concealed.
I figure if one not in ‘authority’ tells me to put it on I will just tell them if they stay 6 foot away from me (which I usually practice before etc) you wouldn’t have to worry about my ‘no mask rule’.

What’s the connection between masks and patriotism?
I’d buy one of those now that national/international corporations have gone to nationwide mask rulz.
Less visible, but still capable of potentially making masks voluntary way sooner than November.
If Amazon is any indication, Trump masks are much more popular than Biden masks.
