Salas has been on state and federal benches for 14 years. Judges, prosecutors, county sheriffs, etc, accumulate lots of enemies.

If the conspiracy is little league, it might be a bungled assassination.
If the conspiracy is big league, the targets are perfect.
If the conspiracy kills a judge, another judge gets assigned to the case and will likely get enhanced security and go harder on the conspiracy.
If the conspiracy kills the judge’s loved ones, it sends a message to the entire justice system: the conspiracy will stop at nothing and nobody is safe if they don’t cooperate.
I am not saying that the Epstein conspiracy behind this killing, or that there even is an Epstein conspiracy.
