“NYT wants so badly for Trump to make an authoritarian move on states...They clearly can’t see that he has, by leaving decisions to the states, been 3 moves ahead of them.”

absolutely correct ... Trump’s left it up to the governor’s of the states, so ALL actual ire on the ground has been and will continue to be directed at the governors ...

Yes but the problem is now is that almost all the red AND blue state governors are bowing to the teachers’ unions and/or to fear and mass hysteria (moms and teachers—all female remember—and I’m a female) and more and more districts are not even allowing the option of hybrid (two days as week). Just closed. Indefinitely. It’s shocking.

Meanwhile 22 European nations and all of Asia are educating their children as we speak. They all reopened schools fine. Israel had a problem with spread but they packed in kids with a lot of AC (no fresh air).

“They clearly can’t see that he has, by leaving decisions to the states, been 3 moves ahead of them.”

How? By letting people in battleground states that he needs to win sink into an increasingly foul mood? By letting his supporters feel that he's abandoned them to twist in the breeze at the hands of COVID Nazi Governors?
