Painting ‘murals’ on streets is not a good idea.

Paint is much more slippery when wet than asphalt - the first car that slides on it and crashes, in the winter snow, is going to sue.

If you've ever driven on any of the main and secondary roads in and around NYC, like the Cross-Bronx Express Way or The Major Deegan or The Manhattan Bridge you learn there is so much grease and oil embedded in the asphalt and concrete every time it rains you have to be careful because the roads surface becomes slippery.
