It’s cynical for ex-KGB Putin to pose as a defender of Christians and traditional morality... but the West’s embrace of LGBT has provided an opening for him. Hell, Muslims Imams are doing the same thing. Looking at the U.S. and various European countries letting two sodomy buddies go around pretending that they’re a married couple, adopting kids, etc., well, many folks (including me) look at that and are repulsed. So if Putin or some Muslim cleric or anyone points at our perverse culture, and knocks it, they’re right! You can’t blame ‘em for making points that are valid points. You can’t blame ‘em for seizing an opportunity for be on the right side of an issue where Western culture is so obviously on the wrong side.
I’ve always maintained here that Putin was a murdering KGB thug and took heat for it. Hell’s Bell’s Putin was a colonel. You don’t get those kind of chops in the KGB without smoking somebody or having it done.The guy’s a bum. His own people have been out recently protesting against him.
Society has a unique vested interest in promoting traditional marriage and it is for this very reason that the civil/secular aspect of marriage actually is primarily to create a contract between the marrying couple and their community. Society agrees to provide the couple with official recognition and support, including monies that are taken from the general tax-paying population and given over to the couple and their children in the form of tax breaks, school funding and other benefits. For their part, the couple make an implicit good faith agreement to remain bound in matrimony and to attempt to produce and responsibly raise any ensuing children.
Sadly, as part of the ongoing assault on our way of life as free and sovereign citizens under our Constitution, the forces of the "progressive" left have been attempting to diminish or kill the nuclear family and replace it with the nanny state. They denigrate and trivialize traditional marriage by attempting to reduce it to simply one of many "equally valid" hedonistic comme ci comme ça relationships (if ghey marriage, why not plural marriage, sibling marriage or even parents marrying their own grown children?).
Ghey couples are fundamentally different from traditional married couples. Only traditional married couples can create and raise the next generation of civil society so it is factually wrong to equate ghey unions with marriage. Gheys are just being used by the left as a wedge to trivialize traditional marriage.
However, these fake marriages are mere pimples on the face of society compared to the cancer that is the out-of-wedlock production of children. Fatherless feral pavement people produced outside of marriage are a bane to civil society. Society has a strong interest in promoting procreation only within the bonds of traditional enduring marriage.
More important than a child's birth status is how the child is raised. The key is being raised from a wee toddler to adulthood with both their biological father and mother in the home (sometimes an adoptive parents can be nearly as good). However, being raised by a baby momma with a string of feral kids all with different sperm donor dads is a recipe for disaster. Dem policies encourage this. Dems are evil.
