Seems like some Northeners can’t stomach the reconcilation that occurred long ago AND the official I.S. government recognition of Confederate as American.

Seems like some people can't stomach the fact that the South lost their rebellion. If you want to continue the Civil War theme then rename Fort Bragg to Fort Grant. Fort Gordon to Fort Sherman. Fort Hood to Fort Thomas. Fort Benning to Fort Sykes. And so forth.

A case could be made that Bragg and Hood did more to ensure the victory of the North than many of the Union commanders did.

90% of American Indians were fine with the name "Redskins" for the Washington team, but it will be changed because of the activists. If the men who were stationed at some point at Fort Bragg or Fort Hood were polled about changing the names, no doubt most of them would want the names to remain as they are, but most of them have passed on. If Trump tries to stop the renaming, the next Democrat President will approve it.

The South lost a war. Must the Southerners give up their identify . Keep in mind they have been American citizens, fighting in America’s wars for 150 years.
