Thanks for the ping, George.

Great to see there’s still some freedom left in the great state of Colorado! Love it!

I want to return to vote in person next November. It will be too late to see the elks bugling but it will still be my favorite state! Always. :)

“People pull them down over their noses and below their chins.”

I live in a place for seniors with Alzheimer’s. I am not yet a senior and don’t have Alzheimer’s, but my husband put me here after I got out of the hospital (24/7 nursing care, supposedly). Anyway, this place is covid-free, unlike any other retirement home in this province (Quebec). It requires masks at all times.

My husband is a mask fanatic. He is constantly on my case about wearing my mask. Yesterday he took me shopping for shoes and groceries; he made me sit in the back and wear my mask. I kept taking it off my right ear and holding the handle on the ceiling of the car with the right loop of the mask on my finger, holding it at a 45 degree angle to my face, breathing in the wonderful fresh breeze.

“JULIE! Put your mask on!” I said, “As far as you are concerned, my mask is covering my mouth so technically I am.”

“Well, don’t talk when you’re like that. Talking is when you spread it.”

“Fine,” I said. So I took off the mask completely and we drove silently to Payless Shoes. LOL!

He came back to my room and I said, “Just so you know, I am NOT wearing this thing in my own apartment.” “Sure. Because we’ll be six feet apart.”

After we watched The Good Doctor, I said, “do you want to ... you know ...?” He said, “Well, no, there’s the whole covid thing.” I said, “I’ll turn around! I’ll put a bag on my head!” LOL!

This thing is out of control. Whoever said it won’t be a problem after the election, I think they are absolutely right.

Fauci will come out with another proclamation, that the last 11 months were just a dream and coronavirus never ever existed. It was some type of Hitler-esque (after all, Trump is actually Hitler reincarnated, right?) sort of mass hypnosis!

LOL!

This thought just occurred to me. You know how men and women subconsciously evaluate each other when they are dating, wondering:

Is he/she pro-life? Pro-choice?

Religion, how committed is he/she to attending church? Is he/she an atheist, believer?

Does he/she want children? If I do, would she get an abortion and not tell me about it? Can I trust her that way? (Women are the only ones who can get away with such deception; it’s not really fair to men, in a sense. I wonder what God was thinking. However, He did trust Eve. Or maybe He knew exactly what she would do! Who knows!?! LOL!)

And now: is he/she pro-mask? A fanatic about it? Or do they take a more laissez-faire approach?

Just one more thing to consider when wondering if your partner is marriage material. Sounds pretty tiring. A lot of young men would rather continue as they are, order a pizza and return to their parents’ basement to play video games.

Actually my “favorite” or least objectionable mask is a simple red handkerchief worn as a bandanna. Heck, I’ve been wearing those riding to protect my neck some since way before covid. Besides, I’m out west, it fits the image. Ok, sure. Wearing a bandanna walking into a Walmart for batteries may not be the same as swaggering into a saloon in the late 1800s and ordering whiskey all around but... You do what you can with what you’ve got.
