I do not understand you comment / question
The whole get out the vote business.
What can we do to help the effort?
It’s not directed at you—rather everyone.
We talk about it often on Free Republic, but we need that talk—or our voices, if you will, out in the open where others beside FReepers can hear them.
I’ll try to keep it short.
First I will be gone a large portion of the day as I’ve been invited....well I’ve been invited to mass.
Got a call yesterday from my FORMER priest. He was let go at the end of April, or more accurately, forcibly retired, as he had been in the hospital for quite a bit in the prior two years. He has been my priest for the past five years and I don’t know what it is about me and priests buy hey, as is my wont, I wrote a book about. We include a Bishop in on this but anyway....moving on.
He called me up about a month ago to tell me he was on the radio for an interview and though he didn’t ask, I wrote a Blog post about it.
Since then we got a new Pastor then again we got another new Pastor. All I know he is Father Lewis of the Catholic church in Lewes, Delaware.
Father Tom called me and said he is holding mass at his house in Rehoboth Beach, ten people are allowed he said, and I was one of the invitees.
I’m a nervous wreck.
do I have to wear a mask? Father Tom said he was specifically asking older people still not invited to the Sunday mass, where attendees must sit 80 feet apart, some up on the roof.
Should I be worried about catching this virus from those ten people? Is he going to hold this mass outside or in his house? Is it a good idea to be in a house, by its nature kind of small, with ten people saying prayers and stuff?
I already wrote the book people cause there’s more to it than this.
Anyway, don’t know when I will be home, cross your fingers for me. Might not get to posting the links to the various shows today but I’ll do it sometime.
Father Tom mentioned to me a couple of times that we need to start a group to save the church.
I have no idea what that means and frankly, until they get rid of that pope, I’m not all that interested in “changing” the Catholic church.
Oh, and the Bishop of Wilmington also resigned about two months ago. It’s in the book.
Anyway, heh, wish me luck. “Mass” begins at 11:00 am.
