Bubba Wallace Booed at NASCAR All-Star Open, Cheered After Crash

Bubba Wallace took some heat before he competed in the NASCAR All-Star Open, which was the race to qualify for the main event at Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday. AP Sports reporter Jenna Fryer covered the event and wrote on Twitter that fans booed Wallace when he was introduced. And when he crashed 17 laps into the race, the crowd began cheering.

"Bubba Wallace was also booed when he was introduced, and many cheered when he crashed," Fryer wrote. "NASCAR still has a lot of work to do to back up its position. The group Justice 4 Diversity held signs along Speedway Blvd. after the race." After the ace, Wallace called out Michael McDowell for causing him to crash and lose out on a chance to win $1 million. "Just disrespect. When you get hooked the right rear into the wall - I don't even need to see a replay," Wallace said. "People say [he's] one of the nicest guys in the garage. Can't wait for the God-fearing text he's going to send me about preaching and praising respect. What a joke he is."

Odds are this won't be the last time Wallace will be booed this season. The reason fans are upset with Wallace likely has to do with the noose investigation. While at the Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR announced a noose was found in Wallace's garage stall, and it led to an investigation by the FBI. When the investigation ended, law enforcement determined the noose had been there since last year and that Wallace wasn't a victim of a hate crime. That led to fans attacking Wallace, claiming he made up the noose incident despite the fact he was not the person who made the claim.

But how the hell did he win that award? That was supposedly a fan-based vote. Did NASCAR rug the vote?

“It’s another to get booed because you’re a crybaby.”

A crybaby, and a big fat LIAR.

Visit your local speedway. You’ll have a great time!

That is why I love the drags, the “stock” classes especially. I hate the funny cars and rails albeit I was racing the day Garlits did his first 200+MPH sanctioned quarter albeit I was in a K/SA class, 55 olds.

At Island Dragway?

That’s about 45 minutes from where I live.

I visit there once or twice a summer, usually for the nostalgia drags. It’s like seeing the pages of Car Craft Magazine come to life.

And the pits at drag strips are RIGHT THERE! If the crew isn’t thrashing, they’re more than willing to answer questions or sign an autograph (no charge).

Wait a minute...

Garlits set a sub-7-second pass at Island Dragway, not 200 mph.

Sorry for the error.

You’d like Island Dragway just the same. It’s a mom & pop operation, but very professionally run. Very friendly people on and off the track!

They need trophies for many more categories.

A trophy at the end of each competition yellow, for best sjw paint scheme.

the sub 7second came years later! Found this on the net:

https://bangshift.com/bangshift1320/amazing-video-day-don-garlits-broke-200mph-island-dragway-august-2-1964/

My only recollection that differs is I thought he was on the inside lane but the video shows the outside one and did not pick up the ending past the race surface.

Those were the days!!

“He has character and intelligence issues.”

************************************************************

Most definitely.

Hoaxers believe they have superior intelligence, and that the fools won’t be smart enough to catch on.

Bubba Smollet is overpowered by both character (lack of it), and by being dumb. His talent, what ever it is, will likely not be sufficient to effect a favorable outcome.

“In NASCAR to be summarily booed is as much a coveted circumstance as being summarily cheered. . .it is the potential prelude to the transformation into a good guy hero.”

************************************************************

On the other hand...Jussie Wallace made the mistake believing his superior intelligence would put the fools in line. Fans booing Jussie...? Not a whole lot of coveting goin’ be goin’ on.

“Well, this PROVES that Bubba was right all along...”

Yep, the whole sport is racist and should be outlawed. I think it can be done on environmental grounds...

“Bubba lynched his career.”

Jussie Wallace found a ‘noose’ and NASCAR stuck their head in it.

A corporate race baiting stunt that did enormous damage to their billion dollar brand and likely cost them half of the fanbase they had.

So stupid - why can’t businesses just focus on what they are good at without running headlong into sillyness like this?

Steve Phelps is a FOOL.

Bubba crashed. Someone gave him some rope and he made a noose out of it.

“How many people who walked in solidarity behind Bubba’s car now realize they participated in an idiot parade?

Imagine how fast they would have utterly destroyed one of them and their families i they would have said ‘hey wait a minute - that is not a NOOSE it is a door pull and that knot has been there for a long time, we had that stall in 2017 and it was there’.

NOOSECAR would have made a harsh example of that person, so they all had to play the game and follow the sheeple script.
