Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Friday that Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan must resign if allegations of corruption are true against the fellow Democrat long considered the states most powerful lawmaker.
The speaker has a lot that he needs to answer for, to authorities, to investigators, and most importantly, to the people of Illinois, Pritzker said during a stop in suburban Chicago.
Former federal prosecutor Phil Turner, now a Chicago defense attorney, said its likely the government has pursued Madigan for years and with the ComEd allegations, found a fruitful avenue to reach him.
More than half a dozen Illinois Democrats including some of them former Madigan confidants and allies have been charged with crimes or had agents raid their offices and homes.

Madigan has always told Flounder what to say.
A corrupt politician in Illinois? You don’t say.
Some people just look like their up to no good...
Shocker, huh?
Madigan the longest-serving state House speaker in modern American history....he’s been at it for awhile.
On the day Madigan was named "Person A" in the FBI's investigation, Gov. Prickster's office was served with a subpoena related to his property tax appeal in which he removed 10 toilets from his Gold Coast home on the North Side of Chicago to get his mansion deemed "unlivable" which saved him tens of thousands of dollars in property taxes.
After the appeal, the toilets were of course re-installed.
Here's to hoping the Fed's nail both Madigan and Prickster.
Shocker, huh?
Reminds me of this sad tale involving Exelon and looks like corrupt practices.
I met the survivor in passing, thought he was a DAV.

J.B. Pritzker, what a Karen. /s
If Madigan goes down, he’ll take Prick Sir with him. Hopefully the whole effing Combine, too, both Rodents and RINOs.
It appears certain authors have referrenced him as ‘the Darth Vader’ of Illinois government, a sort of Dark Lord.
After the appeal, the toilets were of course re-installed.
Rumor has it, his NON-UNION plumber/workers...dropped a dime on him.
They were never paid in full for work completed.
Oh sure...play dumb Governor.
This piece of crap has been a corrupt influence in Illinois politics for years. Dirty doesnt do him justice.
Chicago politics = Organized Crime......While the dons are less flamboyant now and shun the spotlight, their work continues in the shadows.
The life span (defined as ‘time before indictment’) of Illinois governors is record setting. I lived there for 30 + years and 5 or 6 of them went up the river at the bidding of Madigan, I’m confident.
Pritzker plays the “I dindu nothing—he did it” card.
Pritzker plays the I dindu nothinghe did it card.
Comes naturally to him.
I would like to believe, I could equal his track record if I had his funds.
From wiki:
Business career
Pritzker served as chairman of ChicagoNEXT,[13] Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s council on innovation and technology, and he founded 1871 a non-profit digital startup incubator,[14] (named for the year of the Great Chicago Fire), Chicago’s digital startup center. He played an important role in the creation of the Illinois Venture Capital Association and the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center. He also co-founded Chicago Ventures and funded the startup of Techstars Chicago and Built in Chicago.[15]
Together with his brother Tony, Pritzker co-founded Pritzker Group Private Capital, which owns and operates middle-market companies. The group includes a growing family of companies including pallet rental leader PECO Pallet and medical device maker Clinical Innovations. In 2008, Pritzker received the Entrepreneurial Champion Award from the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce for his efforts to promote economic development and job creation
Makes you wonder if Madigan daughter will get caught up in all of this. Nah, she’s an angel.
