Do they have bald eagles in Germany? Yeah, I didn't think so. Has the American Bald Eagle been a universally recognized symbol of the United States for well over a century before the Nazis even existed, as it continues to be to this day? Yeah, I thought so.

The eagle that symbolizes Germany is called `der Steinadler’ and is dark grey all over. The bird is often found perching on rocky Alpine peaks, hence the name.
Not like the American bald eagle but still a national emblem.
