There is no rush through trials on these vaccines. They’re going through full phase 1, phase 2, and now phase 3 trials. What’s different now is President Trump is getting rid of all the bureaucratic delays and red tape that usually hold things up. Rather than sitting at the bottom of the pile of undone work on some lazy government worker’s desk for months at a time, the work is being reviewed rapidly and approvals are going through at a pace that doesn’t hold them up from proceeding to the next stage.
Being a businessman, the President knows how to streamline processes and get people moving. No corners are being cut on safety.
