Thursday on MSNBC, Steve Schmidt, John McCains 2008 presidential campaign manager, described President Donald Trumps supporters as a cult of personality that mindlessly cheer the president talking about drinking water.
Host Brian Williams said, I caught an article yesterday, the gist of which is that American passports are useless right now. Lets ignore for the moment that the pandemic has made travel unreachable, impossible, and unpalatable for most people. If you wanted to, if you had the means or perhaps the urgency, a mission to travel the world, we are allowed as Americans into Turkey, Tanzania and Mexico. Europe is cut off for us. We cant drive north into the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We have become pariahs because of our spike.

“”””Mindless cult or Mindless deplorable cult?””””””
I don’t want to be excluded. I am a mindless UNEDUCATED deplorable cult member.
That “mindless cult” this idiot is referring to is about 95% of the Republican voting base. The GOP was a mindless cult when it blindly accepted the globalist policies espoused by Schmidt and the rest of the neocon Bush crowd, who in turn sold this country out to China and other foreign interests. They want the GOP back in their clutches. They may regain ultimate control of the party apparatus, but it won’t have many voters backing them anymore!
Well, Brian, how about your hero Cuomo telling me I can’t visit New York because I live in Alabama?
It’s Blue States with these laws.
More people will know what Schmidt said by reading this FR post today than heard him say it yesterday on MSNBC.
He’s a nobody on a network nobody watches.
Steve is on the “Any Last Words” list...

Worst Campaign Manager, ever.
This ain’t the summer of love.
I saw BOC back in the day. I blame them for a good portion of the hearing loss I have.

I have the same niece.
She hasn’t spoken to 3/4 of our once loving family after she realized we voted for DJT,
She’s probably around 23 now..
If these children didn't have social media I wonder how they would spend their waking hours.
I’m beginning to think McCain was simply repeating the things Schmidt said.
McCain was probably the dumbest GOP Senator of the last 20 years but something seemed to jog his brain to attack his base.
Back in 2010, Schmidt came up to Oregon to ‘help’ one of the candidates we were running for Senate seat.
First debate you could tell someone gave him very bad prep and advice.
We all know why he was there.
Graham got appointed to his Senate Committee to make sure the rest of America never found out.
Eh?
What’s that you say?
/sat on Buck’s Marshall stack for the whole show at a seedy roadhouse in WV.

Nope. A Bitterly cold January night.
First time was the old Cap Center in Largo MD, 1981.
Sat up in the nose bleed section for the Foghat/BOC show.
Still had some of the lasers, the giant Godzilla and the Oyster Boy who they brought out in chains to play the kettle drum on Veteran Of The Psychic Wars.
Sucked to be that far away *but* there was a bunch of Marines sitting behind me and we all had a blast when they encored with Roadhouse Blues.
