Democrat Party may have a date with cancel culture, Princeton professors argue

Two professors from Princeton University co-authored a column published Thursday that took apart the country’s current “cancel culture” movement that they consider to be based on “twisted logic,” but they said if the trend continues—to be fair—the mob should consider relegating the Democrat Party to “the dustbin of history.”

Sergiu Klainerman, a mathematics professor, and John Londregan, a professor of politics and international affairs, co-authored the piece titled, “A Modest Proposal for a Name Change,” which appeared on the National Review’s website.

They point out that there is a clear movement afoot in the country that aims to erase the “symbols and exemplars of American society” that have suddenly become the targets of an “unprecedented iconoclastic purge.”

The cancel culture needs to (politically) cancel Biden. He is too old, too white, too rich. He has had the past endorsement of the National Association of Police Organizations. He has cast past votes to incarcerate people of color. You have your orders cancel culture, now get to it!

On the one hand, much of what Joe Biden said or did or plagiarized circa 1970-2008 is now laughably out of step with today’s “woke” Democrat party. On the other hand, it doesn’t necessarily work for us to attack him for his previous actions or positions that are now ipso facto “racist” or otherwise verboten. I know that some have tried that approach (e.g., “Joe Biden wrote the 1990s crime bill that locked up a lot of black people”). In opinion, that kind of attack actually backfires and ends up helping Biden by reassuring moderate/independent/swing voters that Joe B isn’t a total bleeding heart liberal (and he’s really not; he’s historically been an opportunist who will take any position that he thinks will help him politically though now he’s an empty-vessel dementia patient).

The Democrat Party’s date with the “Me Too” crowd resulted in date rape charges.

Resulted also in a rape hoax by Terry McAuliffe against the #2 Dem in Virginia, which is still hanging out there unresolved.

This is an amusing discussion—about how to attack Joe Biden.

The man is senile.

The first major party candidate in history to be senile.

Senile.

Right now.

Running for President.

Senile now.

Gee—I wonder what issue we should focus on....

Yup, he is senile.

The Democrats that still exist, like a Stepford Wife before she succumbs, are a dying bread. Their purpose is to hide the communists until they get all power. Then they will be deemed too impure to continue within the party at a high level.

Remember the motto: Don’t get in the way of the enemy when they are destroying themselves.

For every item proposed to be canceled, 6 cancel culture academics should also be canceled

The problem with attacking him on his senility is that it will make some potential swing voters feel sorry for him and reinforce the “Trump is mean” nonsense.

You need to tie him to what he says he will do as Pres ... fundamentally change America 2.0. Loss of all liberties, Green New Deal, ban all firearms, support of BLM and Antifa, etc... That alone should scare the you-know-what out of most Americans.

The “voters will feel sorry for him” argument does not fly when they think about Joe Biden and his finger on the nuclear firing button “Oops, I thought it was the garage door opener”.

Then they will feel sorry for the species if Biden is President.
