Authorities in Georgia say an enraged father took things too far and crossed a line, resulting in his arrest, after he found a grown man in his 14-year-old daughter's bedroom.
Ismael Casillas, 41, has been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attacking and severely beating 20-year-old Keywontrezes Humphries in the early hours of July 4 after finding the man at the family's home in Coweta County.
Casillas is accused of knocking out and chipping several of Humphries' teeth, and choking the young man.
Investigators with the sheriff's office said that had Casillas allowed the unwelcome guest to leave after the thrashing, they might not have pursued legal actions against him, reported Fox 5 Atlanta.
But then Casillas went a step farther by allegedly asking his wife to bring him his gun.
Humphries jumped out of a bedroom window in an effort to escape, but Casillas was waiting for him in the front yard, where the beating continued, according to investigators.
The aggrieved parent allegedly threatened Humphries' life and fired shots as the bloodied and bruised 20-year-old fled.
Georgia law allows homeowners to use force to defend themselves and their families from intruders, but only so long as they present a threat.

Where is Al Bundy when you need him?
Little asshole had it coming.
He didn’t kill the perp because he was afraid he’d have to pay for the tombstone, and just paying the engraver to put the perp’s name on it would have bankrupted him.
This is total BS!
[Keywontrezes Humphries
This guy should be jailed just for having that name!]
Wonder if he had an
“Hello, my name is Keywontrezes” name badge?
[[SOOOO,...THIS GUY DID NOT PRESENT A THREAT???????]]
Like the wife said- they didn’t know if he had a gun in his waistband, or car- they also couldn’t determine if the punk would go off, get a gun, and come back- The husband left a very clear message that if he did0- it would be a mistake
Only took three posts.
A first year law student can get this guy off. Jury trial, and we’re done here.
no charges filed? Or found not guilty? I vagulely remember that case i think- i thought he went to court? (Maybe it’s a diff case i sort of remember?)
He didn’t need a gun...his stupid body was a threat. No?
Sounds like a car problem.
Maybe his mom got a text, the hospital, that said...
I can’t come get you....my Keywonturn on the ignition.
Geezus...he beat the black out of him while he was at it.
They should drop the charges.
His daughter is more his responsibility to protect than his home and it was a child predator intruder into his home (entry based on deception towards the daughter) from whom he was protecting his daughter.
That could very well be true!
well the point was that the father was fully justified in getting the gun- they didn’t know if the punk was armed or not-
Indeed. Sentence him to 1000 rounds at a local range, seeing as how he missed the miscreant.
Put me on the jury. I’ll give him a standing ovation.
This is the perfect case for jury nullification.

We have a hispanic friend that was depressed and angry when we met up at a party last year. He suspected his wife was fooling around because of suspicious phone calls and her disappearing. He managed to track the wife to a parked car in a dark place and caught her having sex with a black man. Beat the guy, then left. But his anger remained after he kicked his wife out, and was telling us he was going to kill the guy. We talked him down from his plans; this was within a week. He simply hated black guys, and couldn't stand the thought of his wife having an affair with a black co-worker. He went to anger-management counseling. He's been a fighter getting into fights as long as we've known him for 30 years, but this one pushed him to the edge, because of the guy being black.
