Well, maybe most of them should chalk it up to being the
Will of Allah.
“Did the salinity of the Eastern Mediterranean increase?”
That’s a good question.
Cutting off the flow of water from the Nile into the Med does seem like it would make the Atlantic want to flow into the Med. Throw in global warming and melting polar ice caps...there should be some righteous surfing waves flowing thru the Straights of Gibraltar. Surfs up!
English Standard Version?
It happens.
;)
[As hard as it is to see what is happening to our country and the world, we, the Body of Christ, are so blessed to be witnesses of this time leading up to the Tribulation. Amazing!]
Yes, it’s kind of shocking how fast all these things are happening. Birth pains, it seems.

“Why would anyone use Chinese construction for another dam???”
I thought the article said an Italian general contractor was heading it but whether they are actually owned/influenced by the Chinese I don’t know.
LOL
kickbacks?
It was an eerie sign when all those frogs migrated out of the blood red Nile. Reminds people of something.
That would pretty much take care of the downtown Federal zone which is on. reclaimed swamp anyway. I've Haines Point, that narrow penisula at south, flooded on from both sides. Would take care of SE on the east bank, been needing a Biblical flood there since I can remember. Marion Barry country.
Good to hear you’re getting better
That’s right. Isaiah 19:5ff
“Just to understand, is water flowing north?”
Water flows downhill.
These countries could always ask Israel for help building desalination plants. If I recall correctly something like 55% of their fresh water comes from desalination, and very cost effective. Though I guess if you have a giant river running through your country you don’t think about desalination too much.
I’m sure somebody mentioned it, but there are international treaties governing the use of upstream water to protect downstream nations. In this case, protecting Egypt’s rights. Of course, having the treaty and enforcing it are two different things.
Correct, the Nile flows south to north. It is why for many years Europeans could not find the source of the Nile.
12 March: US-China Perception Monitor, Atlanta GA: Selling Egypt down the river? China supercharges Ethiopias Grand Renaissance Dam.
by Iain Millar, China Program Spring 2020 Intern
While China is not directly funding the dams construction costs, Chinese companies have been brought in for much of the construction workdrawing on Chinese expertise in the hydroelectric sector. For example, it was recently reported that Chinese companies were awarded contracts earlier this month to pick up the pace on the project, with contracts worth $40.1 million and $112 million awarded to China Gezhouba Group and Voith Hydro Shanghai respectively.
Moreover, while China has not been directly involved in lending for the construction costs of the dam itself, it has provided significant financing for the related power lines and infrastructure which will eventually transport the electricity to neighbouring towns and cities. For example, in 2013 China, loaned Ethiopia $1.2bn to build power transmission lines to connect the dam to major towns and cities. Furthermore, in April last year, China further announced an investment of $1.8 billion to expand Ethiopias power grid following Prime Minister Abiy Ahmeds visit to Beijing...
China is actively involved in other hydropower projects in Africa, such as the Mambila hydroelectric projectslated to be Nigerias largest power plant upon completionand is being built by a consortium of Chinese companies. Indeed, the NGO International Rivershas compiled data indicating that China is fuelling the dam boom in Africa through their involvement in financing or construction of dams in 22 African countries...

FWIW, the majority of Siberian rivers flow South to North.
My thoughts exactly! How is there any water in the northern hemisphere of the planet in the first place?!!?
Take a look a sat photos showing the green belt of the Nile, then compare the tiny state of Isreal...and populations....102 million vs 8.6 million....Cairo alone has just over 20 million. Egyptions would have to scale up bigly.
Gonna need a bigger desalination plant and plenty of them to keep stuff green if upstream is dammed.
