I don’t. If a Justice can’t show up at the Supreme Court Building then his vote shouldn’t count - how does anyone know who is on the other side of the phone line, laptop or whatever?

When things are happening at 2 am as on some of these executions
Or one or more justices are on vacation or out of town speaking you don’t
Really expect them to be in the building 24/7 the clerk of court, who actually issues the order has signals to know that the justice — all of them — have authorized the vote the clerk gets. And the lawyers and executioners have signals to know the clerk’s issuance is authentic.
So it’s not just RBG
