Jerry Falwell Jr.: ‘No Question’ Evangelical Christian Support for Trump Is Up from 2016

Evangelical Christian support for President Donald Trump will be greater in 2020’s presidential election than in 2016, predicted Jerry Falwell Jr., president of Liberty University, sharing his comments on Tuesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with host Matt Boyle.

Ninety percent of Evangelical Christians support Trump’s reelection, according to a recent Democracy Institute/Sunday Express poll. Boyle invited Falwell’s remarks on the poll’s findings.

Falwell replied, “There’s no question about it. The Evangelical support [for Trump] has strengthened. I have board members who travel. I have one board member who lost his legs in Vietnam. He travels from military base to military base, from church to church. He says everywhere he goes [he meets] people who were hesitant to vote for Trump in 2016, [but] Evangelicals are 100 percent behind him, now.”

Falwell shared, “Every Evangelical I’ve run into at every major event has [told me], ‘We were hesitant. We thought you were a little nuts for supporting [Trump] in 2016, but we are 100 percent behind him, now.’ It doesn’t surprise me a bit. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was higher than 90 percent.”

Falwell highlighted the importance of Supreme Court nominations to Evangelical Christians. The Supreme Court is “one place the president can make a difference on social issues,” he said.

This issue of judges could help win the election again.

It’s not only Supreme Court justices, but hundreds of judges appointed to the lower federal courts, which have helped make the lower courts more conservative.

I know Justice Gorsuch is too liberal for some here, but, the alternative if Hillary had won that election, would have been two radical justices, instead of Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.

This is good news but none of this will mean much if the integrity of the vote is not assured.

Christians know an absolute injust hit job on a good man when they see it. So do honest liberals.

I said “honest liberal”, not “democrat Christians”. I know “honest liberal” fits the description of oxymoron too, but remember, today’s conservatives are what used to be called classical liberals. Some CL’s do still exist, although they are few and far between. They’re largely atheistic but they still believe in the constitution and the bill of rights. The left, “progressives” stole the term liberals for a while and are now back to calling themselves progressives because they never were really liberal at all.

“He says everywhere he goes [he meets] people who were hesitant to vote for Trump in 2016, [but] Evangelicals are 100 percent behind him, now.””

That’s why you should never believe polls.

100 percent support is an undeniable statistic and cannot be overcome by Biden.

There are no more honest liberals like Hubert Humphrey, Scoop Jackson, or Daniel Patrick Moynihan.

They’ve all been replaced with what one Canadian conservative calls “Intersectional Vengeance Warriors”.

I just scored some 5.56mm today. How ‘bout choo?

I realize you didn’t say democrat Christians. . .IMHO those who are “lifelong” democrats have sold their souls to the party. I am sure their great great grandfathers and grandmothers would understand given these chaotic times. That being said, being a Republican doesn’t make a person a Christian either. . .but at least the platform does not blaspheme God, yet.
