Coronavirus: Why everyone was wrong, The immune response to the virus is stronger than everyone thought
Medium ^ | 7/1/20 | Beda M Stadler

By: Beda M Stadler is the former director of the Institute for Immunology at the University of Bern

So if we do a PCR corona test on an immune person, it is not a virus that is detected, but a small shattered part of the viral genome. The test comes back positive for as long as there are tiny shattered parts of the virus left. Correct: Even if the infectious viruses are long dead, a corona test can come back positive, because the PCR method multiplies even a tiny fraction of the viral genetic material enough [to be detected]. That’s exactly what happened, when there was the global news, even shared by the WHO, that 200 Koreans who already went through Covid-19 were infected a second time and that there was therefore probably no immunity against this virus. The explanation of what really happened and an apology came only later, when it was clear that the immune Koreans were perfectly healthy and only had a short battle with the virus. The crux was that the virus debris registered with the overly sensitive test and therefore came back as “positive”. It is likely that a large number of the daily reported infection numbers are purely due to viral debris.

The PCR test with its extreme sensitivity was initially perfect to find out where the virus could be. But this test can not identify whether the virus is still alive, i.e. still infectous. Unfortunately, this also led some virologists to equate the test result with viral load. Luckily, our day care centres stayed open nontheless. Since German virologist missed that part, because, out of principle, they do not look at what other countries are doing, even if other countries’ case numbers are falling rapidly.

These are the main points I took from the article.

1. This explains the increase in Positive results.

2. This also addresses the "you will have no long term immunity and can catch Covid-19 again" stories.

Looking at the last few month's of reports from various countries shows no increase of cases. Why is there an Increase in the USA? More testing, wrong assumptions from the results (as described above) and political reasons.

The liberal (what else is there) forecasts for the virus outcomes are spread all over the chart. One of those incorrect forecasts will necessarily be closest to whatever actually happens.

Our media (you know, losers & science failures who went to the easiest academic major) will therefore point to that particular forecast as being prescient and that the writer(s) therefore be anointed as Hawkins-like geniuses.

And so will continue the liberal illusion that they and science exist in the same universe.

But lives are very important to liberals. Just ask them. I mean they are not concerned about black on black deaths and unborn babies, but those do not count as lives anyway. /s

“Everyone was wrong”

Sure, to some degree.

But the idiots who were arguing: “it’s just the flu, a common cold is more dangerous, etc.” were clearly off their rockers wrong.

“1. This explains the increase in Positive results.”

In two months Florida testing has gone from <50k per week to almost 200k a day.

Actually, I just finished the article. It says they were the ones that were right.

I said since mid April that the number of cases was irrelevant using this analogy: If you test 1,000 people a day for teeth, you will discover an increase of people with teeth of about 1,000 a day. It doesn’t mean more people have teeth. It means more people are being tested for teeth.

What matters is the deaths, and then the actual cause matters. I’m 66 and have not taken this thing seriously since early April. But that sorta makes sense since I don’t have TV. I pull all my news.

The tests were wrong;

“ORLANDO, Fla. - After FOX 35 News noticed errors in the state’s report on positivity rates, the Florida Department of Health said that some laboratories have not been reporting negative test result data to the state.

Countless labs have reported a 100 percent positivity rate, which means every single person tested was positive. Other labs had very high positivity rates. FOX 35 News found that testing sites like one local Centra Care reported that 83 people were tested and all tested positive. Then, NCF Diagnostics in Alachua reported 88 percent of tests were positive.

How could that be? FOX 35 News investigated these astronomical numbers, contacting every local location mentioned in the report.

The report showed that Orlando Health had a 98 percent positivity rate. However, when FOX 35 News contacted the hospital, they confirmed errors in the report. Orlando Health’s positivity rate is only 9.4 percent, not 98 percent as in the report.”

Yes increased test yields increase cases, but the interesting point is that many positive results do not equal infection. The lack of corresponding increase in deaths point to this.

So in the past 10 days 2 miilion Floridians should be very sick but they aren’t. That explains why Trump demanded that HHS get all Corona data first and not the CDC. Politics and cooking the books.

Doctors early on told me “it’s just the like the flu”, then we discovered the real effect of Covid-19.

That’s because a majority of the “experts” maintain that our bodies can’t fight off much of anything without their vaccines.

Regarding what “everyone thought” about Coronavirus, patriots are reminded the following.

The corrupt “Orange Man Bad” media seized the opportunity to weaponize Coronavirus pandemic, deliberately confusing everybody about the virus imo. They did so ultimately in the hope that elite, deep state Democrats who broke the law trying to keep PDJT from winning Oval Office wouldn’t wind up in prison where they should be imo.

Send “Orange Man Bad” federal and state government desperate Democrats and RINOs home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a “third term” in office imo.

More hopeful news.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that now that it's the height of summer, and there are outbreaks in southern tier states, no one is claiming it will go away when it warms up?

It's not just a winter flu, bro...

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

This helps explains the ‘non-surge’ in hospitalizations from the recent surge in cases.

In April and May about 20% of those diagnosed with covid ended up in the hospital in Florida.

Today, the number of those testing positive only 3% end up in the hospital.

I’ll be glad when the doggone thing has lost the interest of the Left. Long about the second week of November, 2020.

Let me also add that in Florida there will be a new protocol regarding testing.

Those people who are experiencing flu like symptoms will be given priority when they are tested and their sample will be given priority at the labs so their results are made known asap.

The earlier a doctor knows that a person with flu symptoms has covid, the earlier a doctor can start treating that person and thus prevent hospitalization.
