Its not amnesty
Amnesty is what the Dems want, they want the ability for the “dreamers” to bring in mom, dad, lil sis, big brother, grandpop, grandma, cousins, half cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, the milkman, the mailman, etc
That is amnesty, it allows for unfettered immigration/illegal immigration to continue.
What Trump wants to do is keep the ones who are working hard, going to school, own businesses, who are not criminals. Even though I would prefer all deported, I can live with this as a compromise.
Fixing a Obama boondoggle would be another Trump accomplishment, sure it may not be 100% of what we want, but keeping the ones who work or go to school and dumping the criminals, is probably 80% of what we want, which is better then nothing.

I think it’s more a sign of good will. His immigration policies are keeping millions of illegals out. I believe there are only 600,000 DACAs. If he works out a deal for the ones who actually are merit based, I don’t have a problem with it. They’ve bern here for years anyway. The only other option is to deport them. He has taken a very hardline on immigration. Let him do what the rats have failed to do and take it off the table for them.
I’ve always thought theres no way to get these people to now leave as the govt has bawsically condoned their arrivals. that said, I do not think they should ever be awarded with a path to citizenship. They are permanent green card holders... create a special class of permannt residents.
