I think more than any single person you can lay the blame for the coup attempt on Sessions. He was the one man who could have caught this and demanded proof, but he allowed himself to be taken out easily essentially handicapping the President. His naivity about how corrupt DOJ and the swamp really were cost Donald Trump the full power of the Presidency in many ways.
He kept promising “leak investigations” and prosecutions. Nothing. He launched “operation do nothing” with the Utah U.S. Attorney like he was Lindsey Graham and it yielded nothing. To this day I am not even sure the poor guy in Utah knew about it until he heard it on the news.
Tubberville is not a career politician so let’s give him a shot. He owes Trump. Sessions can now write a book bashing Trump and testify before Schiff on some made up drama that is impeachment worthy to cement his place in the Benedict Arnold Hall of Fame.
