I'm surprised they don't fly off going into Pearl Harbor. Never know when you could get grounded by a fluke and make it hard to get the planes launched. Sometimes bad things happen.
Probably lack of ground facilities. Kaneohe MCAS is not all that large, Barbers Point is shut down, and Honolulu/Hickam is too busy.
