Well, they will claim they are working full time, remotely from home. In almost all cases that is a lie, of course.
Meanwhile more of their YUTES become feral and those already feral become more feral. And, on average, their populations will become even more uneducated than they were before.
Defund the teachers and use the money to open Charter Shools.
Keep the teachers who teach on line and pay them the ratio of their being on line to a full day. Let all the administrators and other support people go without pay.

Parents that send their children to government schools should be charged with child abuse... Look what their children have done. And the parents walk away... Not their problem.
Just pay a per dime wage. Work...get paid, no work...no money. Pretty simple. We could apply it to Congress too.
I just googled “free homeschool curriculum.” People have choices. The main issue is that parents have to work, but if the public teachers are forcing a parent to stay home with children, well, they might as well get a good education.
The irony is - they are driving many parents to realize that homeschooling isn’t that difficult, and is far better than making your kid a prisoner for 8 hours in politicized union-run schools.
Agree 100%. Seriously, this could be a huge win for the right to break the teachers union stranglehold on public education.
