Stosh is correct.
Also note that
1. The “Jesus” of the Quran is called Isa and this Isa does and says things that Jesus never said or did in the Gospels and which are not noted in any texts between 33 AD and 750 AD (when the Quran was written). This is VERY important to note as when Muslims talk about Jesus, they are talking about Isa — so it’s like we are talking about Henry V at Agincourt and they are talking about Henry Ford. Two different people
2. Isa was given a book by Allah called the Injil — this is another key point - they will insist that Isa/Jesus had an Injil. you need to point out to them that Jesus didn’t write down anything but there were 4 gospels written by four different evangelists.
3. Incidentally all the prophets of Islam are supposed to have had a book - so prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) had some book (lost), Moses had the Tawrah (Torah) - which was corrupted (yeah right), Jesus his Injil (corrupted) etc. etc.
4. There are also prophets in the quran who AREN’T in the Biblical books.
5. The Muslims state that the Tawrah and the Injil were corrupted soon after - which tells me they don’t think too much of their Allah if his words keep getting “corrupted”
To add to what Mrs Don-o wrote
1. They believe in Mirza Golam Ahmad is a messenger of Allah. The muslims reject that
2. They believe Mirza Golam as the Messiah. Muslims believe Jesus the son of Mary as the only Messiah to come (yeah, they have a warped theology)
3. They believe Mirza Golam as the promised Mahdi.
4. They dont believe Quran to be the final message from Allah, Muslims do.
5. They believe many laws and commandments of Quran and Hadith has been abrogated by the new messenger, i.e, Mirza Golam Ahmad. For example, Jihad against disbelievers.
The term “abrogation” is that LATER revelations supersede the EARLIER revelations.
All the peaceful verses in the Quran are from the Meccan time - when Mo was in Mecca and reliant upon the good graces of the pagans. The Medina verses are about “kill the infidels” and they are later and take precedence
Have known countless Muslims who are fine people and would never think to do or condone such things. And there are certainly professed Christians who have. Difference is Muslims who do them are acting in accord with what is recorded about Mohammed. Christians who behave that way are in direct conflict with what Jesus taught. And that is the fundamental difference.
Exactly
