A columnist made a good point yesterday about the school closings. President Trump is arguing that the schools need to be opened. But he should be arguing that since the liberals want the schools to stay closed, that parents should be demanding school vouchers so that they can choose to send their children to school. I think both can be argued. Open the schools, and if they won’t open them, issue vouchers. And if the fall school term is cancelled, then give parents and taxpayers a refund.
Amen refunds are in order!
Actually, the caller argued that our tax dollars for education should be returned, and the “not gonna teach ‘cause COVID” teachers should be on unemployment, not getting paid (as most still are!).
