Not intending to be insensitive, but she was perhaps fortunate to have lived to the age of 60 with all that. But yes, the ventilator may have been the final blow.
My father died at 84 with several serious co-morbidity's; uncontrolled diabetes, congestive heart failure, several bouts of pneumonia, and a MRSA infection he caught in his assisted living facility. That last one was a contributing factor. So if it had been COVID, his death would have been blamed on the virus.
