The backlash has begun. Repudiation of the cancel culture, the looting of neighborhoods, the defaming of our nations history, the destruction of public monuments, attacks on the police, and yes the non-stop dishonesty of the liberal media and vilification of President Trump, is cropping up in ways big and small, and it will grow. Americans are fed up and they are angry. Increasingly, they will push back; polling shows Democrat candidate Joe Bidens lead over Trump is shrinking as a result.

More like 70% is sane. The 30% just get all of the attention
I think that most pollsters overweight Dems and underweight Reps, especially that this stage. I have noticed in my lifetime that leads shrink over the Summer an into the Fall to where the poll should have been anyway. These are businesses and they gain clients in the future by being accurate concerning their predictions in previous elections. And the reputable ones usually are, or very close. When they fail it is when they cannot guage the intangibles. I think that is why most of them missed so badly with President Trump. And I think that is still the case in this election. They cannot guage the intensity of Trump voters.
I think that the fact that they are showing a small lead form Slo Joe is a good indicator that Trump is actually ahead in the electorate by a couple points and the electorate is trending toward him.
Polls at best or snapshots of a single moment. There's a lot that can happen between now and November. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
If Trump had cared for the popular vote he would have campaigned for it. He campaigned to win the electoral college. National polls are useless, so what if Biden wins the popular vote because of illegal voting in Calif.? The 4 pt lead that Hillary had was suppose to translate into a massive electoral college win, but it didn’t. It was useless except for a talking point. Bill Clinton never won the popular vote, he never got over 49% of the vote. So, this has nothing about ‘projecting your beliefs’ it is dealing with facts. If the polls were correct about Hillary, why was everyone shocked at the outcome? The popular vote means nothing-period.
Presidents who lost popular vote, but won Electoral College votes:
Rutherford B. Hayes (1876)
Benjamin Harrison (1888)
George W. Bush (2000)
Donald Trump (2016)
Don’t forget the Demographics is way different than 1968.
Thanks for posting this—when a black incumbent mayor gets defeated by a white man in a majority black city that is a _big_ story.
These are the kind of little hints (months before a presidential election) that show which way the wind is blowing....
*Heck. Im so old I can still remember this thing called playing outside and getting dirty as a child. Imagine that!?*
Whether one is phiveufsicts (FF) or sevinufnine, playing outside and getting dirty as a child is a marvelous and healthy thing to do! ;-)
I’m about ready to do a Rip Van Winkle until the day after the November Election.
If I wake up and POTUS Trump is Reelected, we kept the Senate and retook the House, I will go back and read all these “hopeful” Stories, savoring every written word.
If the opposite is true, I will know that the America I loved is gone forever and every other person I meet is willingly responsible for its demise.
Do liberal police and firefighter unions still endorse Democrats?
:)
So true....so, so true.
Now we know why the democrats selected the color blue because they are.
When I went to the Trump rally in Manchester last August, I would bet at least half the people there were from MA. Here in NH the liberal areas are all centered around UNH(Durham), Dartmouth(Hanover), Keene State and Plymouth. These are all the college towns.
The other more liberal area of NH is the central part of the state in the Lakes Region. These are the retirees from other states that now live year round at the lake front/former vacation home. They moved here and then want to change our tax system from a system heavily relying on real estate taxes to an income tax. This is because the waterfront houses on the big lakes pay all the taxes. Check out Tuftonboro or Moultonboro or Wolfeboro.
These towns actually have one of the lowest real estate tax rates in the state of NH. It is because every lake front house is over $1 million and up to $10 million in value. Therefore, houses that you can not see the lake that are even 1/4 mile from the water are the least taxed houses in the state. Therefore, towns like Tuftonboro, NH with their no income tax, no sales tax and low property tax rate make it literally the least expensive tax burden town in the USA.
Well, as a Virginian who knows the city slickers voted in our dingbat left-wing governor and turned out state “blue” happened same reason. See below:
Very interesting
VA is just like most other states. The cities are liberal/democrat strong holds. The people out in the country are Republican.
What is with those people out on the outer peninsula of Chesapeake Bay? That is all blue.
Beat by an Independent, people are not happy with these party political hacks
I was just in southern Utah (from California). Saw lots of Back the Blue lawn signs. Never saw so many US and Blue Line flags.
