It seems like it’s only a matter of time before the word ‘Washington’ will get them in trouble, so instead of something like ‘Washington Wildcats’ or ‘Washington Wolverines’ maybe they should future-proof by using ‘DC’ in the name. Like the ‘DC Dragons.’

The Columbia in DC is named after Columbus so that's a problem too.

Good idea, but since Columbus is already under attack, they can’t use DC either. They can call themselves the Capital City (Whatevers), that gets rid of slave-owning Washington, genocidal monster Columbus, and the deeply offensive (to whom) Redskins.

Our local university went from something real, ‘Indians’ to something imaginary, ‘Redhawks’; how can someone be offended by something that isn’t real? I’ve got it. The Capital City Unicorns—that’s the ticket.
