We admire and look up to our Founders, NOT because they were slave owners. Our respect for them has nothing to do with our Nation’s Founders being born into a time of slave-ownership. Many if not most were hereditary slave-owners a result of previous generations being influenced by their own ignorance and the greed and ignorance of those who introduced them to slave-ownership. We celebrate our Founders is for their new ideas and ideals which eventually brought about the end of slave-servitude and slave-ownership, though not as quickly and peacefully as ideally should have been. Slave-ownership and slave-servitude was ended by our Nation being torn apart with a war of not just U.S. citizens fighting against each other, but family members fighting against each other to free from slavery, a group of Americans, who deserved their freedom and recognition as U.S. citizens as much as all Americans deserve. So slavery was ended. Racism still exists, as does unkindness, lack of civility and unreasonable ire. Anger,hurt and pain are justifiable, but irrational violent rage only increases the jaded eye of racism.
Regarding the confederacy, well it was a coup d’état, just like the Democrats in Congress and their in-government cronies are now and for the last four years been trying to pull off against the legally elected President of the U.S.A.
After our war between our states, the Union forgave and allowed, back into citizenship, our wayward citizens, whose treasonous attempt, to divide our government, was prevented from destroying our union of states, at great cost of life and livelihood to all citizens. The confederate memorials of the South can be seen as a way for all to remember and understand the tragic cost of civil disagreement and discord that results in armed conflict between citizens. Many lost everything, including loved ones and their own lives. Yet our nation was stitched back together, so our nation could begin to heal and start the long term work toward developing healthy relationships between all citizens with the hopes of raising all up not tearing any down.
I see confederate monuments, for example, Stone Mountain, as a way to remember not all warriors ride off into victory, but some ride off into doom and surrender. It is a concept worth remembering, and should serve as a reminder that not all are memorialized in celebration and victory. Some memorials serve to remind us of the shame and folly of those who’s cause was deservedly and rightfully lost and we are grateful for their surrender and loss. Now perhaps, it is time for designing celebratory statues that combine with confederate statues to tell the story of our victory and their loss, no fantasy, just reality.

Or why Indians owned slaves
Or why blacks sold their own people
Or why freed slaves stayed on with their former owner after being freed.

Leftists have so much hate in their hearts - America, Constitution, etc.
But at the deepest core of their heart is a vile rejection & hatred of God/Christ who has the audacity to define their perverted behaviour as ungodly and satanic.
Leftists simply cannot accept the fact leftism is not perfect and indeed it is a vessel for evil.
Don Lemon knows what awaits him as an unrepentant practicing homosexual. He will likely always be in rebellion against God.
