Thank you for your labor of love. I believe that the “Serious Critical “ catagory is very telling. The BS about all the “positive” cases is not backed up by this catgory or the deaths.

7/11/2020 Florida:

Daily "new cases" up 49%

Daily tests up 64%

If the daily "new cases" was the same one would expect that number to go up more than 49% because of the 64% increase in testing. These numbers do not prove that it is getting worse.

The hyperbolic, pearly clutching, sky is falling snowflakes on this forum never cease to amaze me.

The % death number is up 18% this week from last week (588/day-726/day). The vast majority of deaths and increase in deaths is occurring in 4 states.....Florida, California, Texas and Arizona)

The information that is provided on this thread is informative and at times interesting. The conclusions drawn, comments made and speculation offered up is more often than not silly and overwrought.

Why does that not surprise me?

You’re having a bit of a tough time on this thread.

Maybe be belong elsewhere.

Maybe you should go pound salt...Who the he!! do you think you are suggesting which threads I “belong” on?

What a brazen example of what a self important opinion you must have of yourself.

You want everyone on this thread to tell you what a great guy you are and how important you your effort and how flawless your judgement.

Well I’ve read your “judgements” and “speculations” and they come across as worrisome superficial drivel and if you have a problem taking criticism then perhaps you should post your opinions “elsewhere”.

Maybe a forum more in keeping with your bumptious opinion of yourself.

What a great effort to prove my point.

What I’m interested here is for folks who have something
to add with facts that contribute to the thread.

You slam me for commenting about your contribution there, but
you aren’t bashful at all about trashing others.

As I said, this thread seems to wear on you. Perhaps you
should find one where you can contribute in a positive
manner.

I put three to four hours a day in on this, and have
a few idiots who think it’s appropriate to spend their
minute per day trashing what others have done.

You’re certainly free to put out a better product, if you
know how.

“You slam me for commenting about your contribution there...”

That right there is a lie....I called you on your arrogance in suggesting I find a different threat in which to comment.

I would never be so self indulgent as to slam someone for criticizing the content of my posting.

This thread does not “wear on me” but I do not hesitate to bring attention to what I deem as disquieting bullsh!t when I see it.

As I stated in the previous post, this is a forum for the expression of thoughtful opinion whether it happen to agree or disagree with with what is posted.

You better learn to live with those that disagree with your opinions or quit posting as your personal viewpoint is hardly Gospel.

“...but I do not hesitate to bring attention to what I deem
as disquieting bullsh!t when I see it.”

And yet you think you’re the only one who has a right to
do that unchallenged.

You’re really not grown up enough to realize you’ve done
everything you’ve been pissing and moaning about.

Pathetic...

Smile...

Now, triple down ace. There’s just no stopping you from
acting the part of a moron is there.

So you’re saying then the original estimates make early were nearly dead on?

About 2k were added in one day on 25 June. That’s the large increase you see in the actual fatalities plot. If not for that correction, actual fatalities would have tracked very closely to what was projected until 9 July when fatalities begin to increase, after lagging, with recent increasing case numbers.

If the daily "new cases" was the same one would expect that number to go up more than 49% because of the 64% increase in testing.

I should have written "If the proportion of covid-19 infections in the population remained the same, one would expect the "new cases" to go up more than 49% because of the 64% increase in testing. If the rate of infections had increased, the number of "new cases" should have been even greater.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHA.......another lie.

“There’s just no stopping you from acting the part of a moron is there.”

Name calling, the last refuge of an arrogance with no legitimate argument on which to rely.

Try the DU, you would fit right in.

A few notes:

At least in FL, it appears that testing is far behind demand. (This per news reports and a friend who observed the waiting lines.) How much of the testing demand from the populace is “reasonable” is unknown.

Per Worldometers at the moment, the 7 day fatalities avg. for the USA on 7/5/20 was 516. On 7/12/20 it was 740, for an increase of 43%. Even that might be considered a data blip if it did not correspond with the sort of recurve Mo’ Nature often throws at mankind. It’s not due to some one day data spike, either. The increases are fairly consistent. :-(

That said, looking at individual states’ fatalities curves is even more telling. FL...

“Re-mitigation” should start disrupting the virus fatalities’ curve in a couple weeks, perhaps sooner. But I sure wish the populace had done better with voluntary mitigation so we’d not see the added deaths OR all these gov’t edicts. Plus, I can’t imagine that Gov. DeSantis, for example, is happy about having to reverse course OR is pleased about now being a major negative focus of all this. One can hear all the “you didn’t protect us from ourselves” screams, already...

I hope you are incorrect on the high side with your fatalities estimate for next week. But that’s more hope than reason.
