Whatever was Sessions’ logic for recusing himself we can debate all day. Perhaps he was looking to do the right thing.
The one thing Sessions did that should NEVER be forgiven or forgotten is to NOT share this decision with President Trump.
Why he didn’t we can only speculate. Did he think Trump would say no and Sessions wanted it to be yes? Did he think Trump needed to be investigated by the wonderful clear-talking Mueller to prove innocence?
But he went ahead and did what he did and there’s nothing, NOTHING, right about it.
Sessions also used his buddies in the Senate as a public shield against termination ... denying the President the opportunity to replace him.
There’s something really wrong with Jeff Sessions.
