We all know there are certain things that posters have difficulty accounting for.
One is voter enthusiasm, or predicting who is a likely voter. The vast majority of people who talked to pollsters say that they plan to vote, but historically voter turnout in presidential elections is often less than 60%.
And another issue is the shy Trump voter, who is reluctant to tell a stranger calling him on the phone that he supports Trump.
I wonder if the fact that 6 people showed up to Biden’s latest “rally” is an indication of voter enthusiasm?
To add numbers to the inestimable Mr. Dilbert’s summary, there are also many moderate Democrat voters, some who may not have voted for serveral or many years, who may come out in strength for Trump given the pap put out by Biden and cohorts. Call these “Scoop Jackson voters.”
I get two or three calls a day from pollsters or political campaigns, I don’t answer any of them.
