This is a situation where Trump is trying to make lemonade out of lemons.
No one in D.C. supports kicking out the kids of illegal aliens. That is a fact. That is cold reality. You and I won't like it, but such a provision simply won't pass, especially since the DemonRats control the House.
So what Trump is trying to do is a King Solomon-type of resolution. Give the kids of illegals some type of citizenship, provided they pass criminal background check and have skills. This takes away an issue from the Left, because the Left wants complete amnesty to replace the blacks.
I think Trump is doing the right thing here. He actually has no choice but to work in the template given to him, thanks to that POS Roberts in SCOTUS and other judges who keep striking him down.

That’s already the law, it doesn’t have to pass, it just needs to be enforced.
Those “kids” are now in the 20s and 30s and are still illegal aliens.

Congress established the current laws in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952.
Trump is the Chief Executive Officer of the USA federal government. He swore to enforce our laws.
All Trump has to do is tell the Secretary of Homeland Security to remove the DACA kids because - according to the exact language in the INA 1952 - they are unlawfully present in the USA.
An Executive Order like that cannot even be reviewed by a federal judge.
The constitutionality of the law can be challenged, but it remains in force until the Supreme Court overturns it.
Bottom Line...
Trump has made it clear since 2015 that he will never deport any DACAs, unless they are dangerous criminals.
