President Trump on Friday said he is telling the Treasury Department to look into the tax-exempt status and the funding of "universities and school systems" over alleged left-wing bias, saying that children should not be "indoctrinated."

"Too many Universities and School Systems are about Radical Left Indoctrination, not Education," Trump said in a pair of tweets. "Therefore, I am telling the Treasury Department to re-examine their Tax-Exempt Status... and/or Funding, which will be taken away if this Propaganda or Act Against Public Policy continues. Our children must be Educated, not Indoctrinated!"

Republicans have long railed against alleged left-wing indoctrination in public schools and universities, citing "free speech zones," cases of professors and administrators showing hostility toward conservative students, and saying that in many cases faculty donate overwhelmingly to Democratic politicians and left-wing causes.

Maybe the Left has actually done us a favor by starting a national dialogue about defunding things.

More empty threats. When is Trump going to actually do something? I am tired of his threats?

It's an election year. This is for campaign purposes.

We need to start asking our Republican State Senators and Representatives why they keep sending money to the state run universities and colleges where 75% or more of the Professors have a Leftist ideology.

Trump can’t do this by himself.

The current ratio between leftist professors, other faculty & staff to conservatives is 10:1 or worse.

President Trump is absolutely right. There are also problems in K-12 education.

The solution for K-12 is to voucher education. The schools will not be responsive to parents until parents have the clout to remove their children and remove education dollars from a particular school.

Educators give lip service to being responsive. They either don't know what that means, or they don't care. They won't be responsive until their personal wellbeing is on the line. It may sound harsh, but that's the way it is for most businesses.

He admitted in an interview yesterday that he himself is letting reamed by the IRS. That his accountants and the IRS had reached a deal and the IRS reneagued it. That he felt he was being treated as bad as the Tea Party groups were.

So I have no illusions that the IRS will follow his requests in any way, unless forced to.

Next up public school system and their superintendents!

And if this holds up in court (it won't), tax breaks for churches will have to go.
