The ritual and the security of voting has been deteriorating for decades.
It was never as pure as we imagined. Witness the easy acceptance of the election of 1960, as clear an example of fraud as it’s possible to imagine.
But absentee ballots, military ballots, electronic voting machines, automated tabulation, and ESPECIALLY “early voting” never should have been allowed.
The sum of all those things has created a simulated election, where the results as the sun rises on the first Wednesday after the first Monday in November will ALWAYS be in dispute, and where the “wise guardians” who we rely on to resolve disputes will have the last word.
We got here because of the now widely-accepted premise that everyone should vote. This is absurd, and no representative republic can survive under those conditions.
Sadly the Constitution gives the state the sole power to determine how their electors are selected. They do not even have to allow a vote only custom demands it, not the Constitution.
Trusting the government has given us this dilemma, trusting them to solve it will give us the Death of the Republic. No one has been held to account for the Coup and no one will be. Notice that Gen Milly has declared that Forts named after confederates should be changed and the services should scrub all confederate statues and name and flags from the military. This was in spite of The President's statements to the otherwise. The President seems powerless to control the Military, Justice or the FBI and he needs to show that he is in charge or he won't be re-elected.
