Why should it? If you can go shopping for home supplies and food while practicing social distancing, why can’t you do the same in the voting booth?
Look at the court rulings. It is coming.
I don't hang around in line at the grocery store. I get in and out, early in the morning before the air is contaminated and while there are few shoppers.
Personally, if vote by mail isn't available here, I'll either vote early, or request an absentee ballot. I've got a couple of risk factors for COVID, so I want to avoid the crowd.
But I recognize the fraud risk of vote by mail which is why I'm advocating getting controls around it. Because it's coming regardless of my personal desire.
On the other hand, mailing out ballots, does provide one control we don't currently have. Once recent vote by mail primary had something like 25% of ballots returned as undeliverable. A wake up call to clean up the voter registry.
