I agree with you. Deaths are going up. I hope it’s a blip and it will slow down but if it was like New York, deaths are the lagging indicator of how bad it is. I also hope new treatments and more young folks getting it will keep the death rate lower but I am not sure.

The page is very complete... But it doesn't present the data in a way designed to fuel the hysteria the way fearper bed wetters prefer. You need to stick to MSNBC and CNN to keep your delusions going.
One who goes to primary research references. You think I have time to follow every link posted on every COVID thread?? If you have a link or links you think gives a good summary, I will look at it.

I don't use the major media at all...haven't watched network news in twenty years. But I know what I see on my local news here in San Antonio, and that shows a sudden, rapid increase in serious cases, with a doubling time of ONE WEEK. DoughtyOne's excellent COVID statistics is more than sufficient to get a wider picture for the US.
I didn't think that people would want all the graphs, so I put the first two that were on the page and added the United States. I meant to include the link as I have in every other post that I have where images from the page have been shared. Someone asked for the link and I provided it.

The numbers that have been used to keep the public in a panic are absolutely pathetic. Except in locations where people are now staying indoors to avoid the summer heat this thing is basically over. The massive amount of testing going on is guaranteed to find people who are infected, but the percentage of positives to negatives is not going up. Does that mean anything at all to you?
If you are so paranoid... open the windows and let some air disinfected by the sun in, or better yet go outside and get some exercise instead of stewing around all day worrying about something that only 00.85% of Texans have managed to catch, and approximately 1 in 10,000 have managed to die from. The flu killed three times as many Texans in 2017-2018. Did you get your flu shot? Were you crying your eyes out about that? You are a pathetic excuse for a Texan.

The flu killed 11,000 Texans during the 2017-2018 season vs 3129 Covid deaths so far this season. And even this is an apples to oranges comparison because anyone who died with respiratory difficulties was counted as a presumptive covid case by CDC guidelines before tests were widely available. My brother-in-law was on hospice care earlier this year because of an inoperable cancerous brain tumor. When he died he was counted as a “presumptive covid-19 death”. Right now it is impossible to tell how many of the “presumptive deaths” were legitimate. We were having more flu deaths than normal in Washington before it was realized that Covid was here. Since Covid we have had basically no flu deaths and some of those who were originally counted as flu deaths were revised to be counted as presumptive Covid deaths.
Every accounting trick in the book is being used to make this situation look worse than it is, including counting people who have tested positive for antibodies meaning they were exposed at some point and got over it... as “new case”.
In Washington we have many people who after they test positive, get tested over and over again. Every additional positive result that they produce is counted as an additional “case”. That I say that this has turned into a hoax. Even people who consider themselves to be conservatives have bought into it at rate almost as high as those who are leftists. And people like yourself who will consider only information that supports their belief in the hoax are in the majority, while people such as my wife who is a retired nurse and department head at multi-level skill facilities are ignored. And people like me who spent 25 years transporting people sick and dying with communicable respiratory ailments to the hospital in the back of small enclosed rescue units are ignored. You have bought into the mass delusion and I don't know how to get your attention.
